Ok, seriously, there is no doubt in my mind that everyone on this little board saw this movie opening weekend and if not don't pay any attention to this thread til you do!
Ok, that being said: flail away with your opinions! :)
Simply Amazing if I must say. The Joker couldnt have been any better. When he did the pencil trick I was like "this is gonna be the best movie ever" haha. Spoiler aleret! DON'T READ IF YOU DIDN'T SEE IT YET!!!!!!
I thought they would have used 2 Face for a 3rd movie I was a little surprised that they killed him off but he was awesome non the less. Well if they make a 3rd one I heard the director doesn't want to do it. They said he didn't want to do the 2nd one but the script was to good. Well if they do make a 3rd one who do you want as the villian? Mr. Freeze? Penquin? Poizin Ivey? Riddler? I personally would like to see the Riddler since the one with Jim Carey sucked even though I thought he played it nice. Oh My fav joke in the Dark Knight is when Batman said "Let her Go!" then the Joker said "Those are poor choice of words" and lets her fall off the building hahaha.
HAHA. Yes, the greatest thing about this movie which is what makes it different from the others (all other so called comic book movies) is that the script was the star. LOVED the pencil trick. So much of everything that Heath as the Joker said, just kept you riveted to the screen.
I was thinking the same thing about 2 face too. I was surprised. But then at the same time, I liked it too because I think he would have eventually been a boring bad guy over the span of an entire movie.
And how awesome was the fact (I SWEAR TO GOD, dear readers, if you haven't taken the spoiler alert into consideration, I have no sympathy for you!) that they killed off Rachel Dawes. That was, no other way to put it, courageous from a filmmaking standpoint.
As much as I'd like it to continue, I can see why it may not. It didn't feel like any questions needed answering. If anything, they'll need to pose new questions first.
I loved this movie. I was impressed with how scary the joker was. You never knew when he was just going to snap. Very realistic portrayal of a psychotic killer. They snap in an instant and insist that they're not crazy. I loved the part where the Joker was called crazy and he said, "I'm not. I'M NOT!" Just awesome.
And what's so interesting about his portrayal of the joker vs the best bad guys (darth, hannibal, etc) is this:
They always say that the bad guys in movies are the most interesting that alot of the time you root for him.
In this particular instance, it was different. You actually never wanted to see him succeed if while at the same time you couldn't take your eye off him. Because he was that evil, and wasn't as charming as your standard suave bad guy.
^ I know. I was pissed at the end when Gordon said that the Joker won, cuz he was right. The Joker's goal was to turn Dent from an uncompromised good guy into the villian. And he succeeded. I couldn't wait for the Joker to die and was a little disappointed when he didn't. That storyline will never have a full ending. If they do a third movie of course.
